Upgraded to WordPress 2.2

I was finally able to upgrade rinzai.com to WordPress 2.2 today. I ran into a few small problems with outdated plugins, but the entire upgrade process took less than an hour. The primary reason for the upgrade was the Twitter Tools plugin from Alex King, which will allow me to auto post tweets to my blog in a daily archive. Many thanks to Brian Cors for the recommendation.

Not a problem! I really have enjoyed that TwitterTools plug-in – and also upgraded to WordPress 2.2 myself just recently. The fact that WP 2.2 support widgets now really helped in that I don’t have to use plugins now to import RSS feeds, text, or photos. It’s all built-in now – and I feel like my page loads a bit faster too.

Attempting to get tagging going with Ultimate Tag Warrior – we’ll see how it goes!
