HI Mate great review right on the money I recieved my jawbone today and experienced the same sound and use problems (Tinny, not a great fit for my ear (not as tight)). I also did some tests but found a little background noise seeping through left message on voicemail whilst driving no road noise but the radio did get picked up a little. I have heard of a firmware upgrade will see if its true to see if it fixes any issues. Cheers Chris

I bought the Plantronics 645 after reading a ton of various reviews of various BT headets on howardforums.com. I had no info on Mac OS X compatibility before buying - the main goal was for my mobile phone. I was happy that connectivity with my Mac worked well.

I'm getting the new Plantronics next week and I will post a review.

These are just the type of reviews I've been scavenging the net for. I was wondering about compatibility with osx for the Plantronics Discovery series. I've read about one user saying their 640 works fine and now you are telling me that your 645 does the job as well with osx.

I'm trying to find the best deal on newegg for the best product of course. The 655 looks like a really good deal however I've only seen one person postback on apple discussion forums saying that they haven't gotten it to work. I've chatted with Plantronics online but I'm not sure the person i was talking to knew much since they said none of the Discovery series works with anything besides phones.

So bottom line, how/where did you find out that your Discovery works with the 645? Please do let me know asap!
thanks so much and keep blogging... someone in the world is reading.
